Principal Investigator

Prof Jeremy Myerson is Director and Chair of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art. His research focus is on the study of professional design practice in relation to social and technological change. In recent years he has focused this interest on the design of the office environment and ageing populations.


Dr Yanki Lee trained in Architectural Design at the Royal College of Art and was awarded a PhD in design studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007. Her thesis, entitled, ‘Design Participation Tactics: involving people in the design of their built environment’ explored a range of methodologies for design participation. Yanki’s research interest focuses on participatory design methodologies and their application for social inclusion and equality.
